STORY
The last hours of the journey by boat on the Aegean coast of forty illegal immigrants, who set off for Europe in a closed truck bed. Treatment: After picking up the last part of its passengers from Istanbul,
a truck with a closed bed, which has departed from the eastern border, is on its way to the Menderes District of Izmir with its 40 passengers. The journey will then continue by boat to the Greek islands, and from there to Italy, the final destination for some passengers is England. At the center of the story is the journey made in the truck bed. Throughout the journey, we witness the stories of a few of the forty passengers who stood out. And then there is an Afghan refugee, whose words were never understood until the last moment. The main elements of the film are their lives before they set out, their reasons for leaving, and their dreams about the countries they hope to reach. The story ends with the truck driver hitting another truck parked on the side of the road at dawn, just before the end of the journey. Forty illegal immigrants and the driver die. We learn from the news that the majority of those who died had already died of suffocation before the traffic accident. The camera fixes the attention on the truck to witness the final hours of their journey in the truck bed, in the dark and claustrophobic atmosphere.
